Wines
At the southernmost tip of the Chianti Classico region, you will find the organic winery of Tenuta Cappellina. Here, perched on warm south facing slopes, we enjoy spectacular growing conditions and views across the whole of southern Tuscany. Our philosophy is to make wines in an environment where biodiversity is promoted, where the natural rhythm of the seasons are embraced and where the vineyards are in perfect balance with nature.
Tenuta Cappellina produce two styles of wine, all guided by the terroir of our estate and the grape varieties we grow. The first is our expression of the Chianti Classico DOCG territory in which we produce our wines. There are 3 levels depending on our grape selection and aging profile: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Reserva and Chianti Classico Grand Selezione. The second style of wines are the IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) wines that, as well as using Sangiovese grapes, use International varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
